Bridging The Gap by Phoenix Language Services, Inc.

Phoenix will be offering the nationally acclaimed professional medical interpreter training program, Bridging The Gap  currently in our 13h year. Our course is taught with an added module in preparation for the recently implemented National Certifications (IMIA & CCHI, International Medical Interpreter Association & Certification Commission for Health Care Interpreters).
Participants who attend  are from the tri state area, NJ, DE and PA, and have come from as far away as New York, and Maryland to take our  extended course. The course is  taught by our experienced dynamic team- co-trainers Gerardo Lazaro C.M.I & MS. , Abbey Madden R.N.  and experienced lead trainer, professor, and working Medical/Legal Interpreter, Deborah Saldaña C.M.I. & M.A.
This 40 hour course is designed to provide standardized skills and tools for bilingual professionals, interested in working as professional medical interpreters in the healthcare setting. It also provides an opportunity for interpreters and translators, seeking to advance their continuing education and professional development. BRIDGING THE GAP has been approved for ATA Continuing Education. Most importantly, Phoenix’s training is one of a select few that prepares you for the National Certification Exam.

About Carmen Ferreiro

Carmen Ferreiro-Esteban was born in Galicia (northern Spain) and went to college in Madrid, where she finished her Ph.D. in Biology. For the next ten years, she worked as a researcher both in Madrid and at the University of Davis in California. She has published a YA fantasy, Two Moon Princess, with Tanglewood Press, and a paranormal romance, Immortal Love with Crimson Romance in English and in Spanish, Becquer eterno with Cultiva libros.
