Come celebrate summer on the beautiful grounds of Appleford Estate. Surrounded by 24 picturesque acres, the sprawling fieldstone structure is a handsome example of early Pennsylvania farmhouse architecture dating back more than 300 years. The property, originally part of a land grant from William Penn, is carefully maintained as an arboretum and bird sanctuary. With its blossoming trees and boxwood gardens, stone walls and clear streams, Appleford provides a serene sense of beauty in every season.
Ample parking is available at the end of the long tree-lined drive, a few hundred yards from the house and gardens. Join us on the terrace to enjoy the charm and warmth of this historic Villanova estate and meet old friends and new members in a spectacular setting.
Our theme this year is an “All-American Barbecue” with the following menu:
Iced Tea, Lemonade and Spring Water
Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Garden Burgers
Sliced Tomato, Pickles & Onions, Condiments, Rolls and Sliced American Cheese
Potato Chips, Garden Salad, Vinaigrette, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Carrots and Green Peppers
Assorted Brownies, Homebaked Cookies and Watermelon Wedges

PLEASE NOTE: Since our space and budget force us to limit attendees to a maximum of 120, it would be unfair to exclude other DVTA members who might want to register to attend if we quickly reach our maximum quota within the first weeks by allowing children and spouses. It should be noted that this is primarily a professional networking event for the benefit of DVTA members, and would not be set up to offer much in the way of interest or entertainment for children.
